I had a problem with unwanted "shadowing" happening on the under-brow of a char =- so I tweaked the vertex normals- however after you do this they automatically become locked to that orientation (ie in world space) no matter how you rotate the mesh.
Is there a way to tweak these normals without ending up having them locked?
