It's looking good so far.
I'm a big fan of the BOF series, and it looks like you're doing this one justice! Can't wait to see it complete.

Updated again. I celshaded it quickly with Lightwave's SuperCel Shader. I am still have difficulties rendering the outlines properly. Anyway, next step will probably be the boots oh and finish the over pants.
Edit: Boots now modeled. Maybe a bit long, but it matches the backdrop image somehow. I'll tweak all that at the end.

Keep it up!:)
Hey Osirus,
looks great. I was thinking, could you paint spec maps to get those mangaesque speculars? u know try and cheat a little.

New update, gloves added. I have never texture anything, so I will have to learn that soon:p Oh and the tail looks awfull for the moment, I will work on it and try to rig it.
Alos needs to add creases to the pants and boots. Thanks for the replies, keep em coming!

I am making the head but maaaaaan modeling anime heads is difficult. And I am tired on top of that, wee. Comments please!:bounce:
Edit: ARGH! I am stoping this one for a while. I've been trying to model this head for hours now and it's a pain in the @$$. If I worked for a company I would have been fired. I wish more of the pros on the boards would show us how they actually proceeded when they post pictures, maybe I would learn something.

about being fired... IMHO work that u do @ home its VERY dif
than working with a team... sinergy is something we all must
look for.. really.
I was wondering if NPRS for Maya can do that kind of render..

I have been working on the gun. The people who joined the little Learning Lessong in the LW board are helping a lot too:)
And due to my complete lack of riging knowledge I just pasted the gun near the hand:p

phil, you should check out this thread http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=388617#post388617
you can download some anime models there for free, which you can use as a reference... and the 3d heads there look really fine, too..

Hey thanks for keeping this thread alive, I wasn't sure it even still existed! I haven't been doing any 3D since then (:hmm:) and just started drawing again. I'm focussing on drawing for now (I absolutly need to get better, MUCH better now) but when/if I feel comfortable with drawing enough I'll get back to 3D for sure. I like modeling, I just wanna be able to draw properly first. Thanks all!
