View Full Version : WIP: TTOM MK VI, hand textures and ZB displace
Hi there
I finished hand textures and displace via ZB for The terrible old man project.
model and UV: C4D, BP 3D
displace: ZB
textures: BodyPaint 3D and MoGraph too! There is a very usefull tip, use Displace deformer and HyperNURBS segmentation (without SPD) for viewport displace and texturing of deformed object!
Your suggestions and crits are welcome, have a nice day, Pavel

Eww, gross. But in a good way. :)
I'd check the thumb geometry, though. Looks like there's something off with the bone structure.

Fantastic work!
My only crit would be that the liver spots look a little to "regular" and numerous. I might suggest more variation in shape/size--and opacity of them as well.
Cant wait to see the rest of the figrre.

Yes--I saw that too--but wasnt sure if it was the lighting/shadow that was doing it. The "thumb bone" looks like its too long--almost looks like another finger.
EDIT--I don't know if this helps or not--but heres a snapshot of a model I have:

Yeah, it is a little long but my main concern was the lack of a knuckle.
Hi there
Thank you for your suggestions.
1. it was my own hand, yes, my hand is nicer like this, of course :-)...
2. Thumb - YES, aright, thumb looks a bit long, thank you, it will be repaired
3. Liver spots - they are in separate layer, it can be improved in few seconds.
Bye Pavel
Ok, thumb is a bit shorter like before, liver spots are more different and irregular

Hi,
gruesome as it is i still think there is something wrong with your thumb.
It might have to do with the views presented but i think the thumb is not angled right.
A thumb should be rotated roughly 45% to get a better 'grip'. It seems yours is not rotated at all and on the same plane as the other 4 fingers.
cheers
Thank you guys
this is wireframe of thumb angle...
