Title: Holden VE Commodore SS-V
Name: Paul Robinson
Country: Australia
Software: 3ds max, mental ray

This is the finished model of a car that I have made over the last 5 days, the car had only been announced 4 hours before I started work on it.

The reason it has Autobot badges and not Holden badges is because it is the base car for a transformer model I am working on at the moment, the link to the wip thread is:

I'm rather proud of myself for producing this because it is my first car in like 3 years...lol

I used 3ds max 8 and mental ray to produce this image. The car was modelled using poly modelling and is smoothed with turbosmooth on 3 iterations.

here are the links to the hi-res versions of the above renders, they are 1680x1050 each and are about 500kb.

well thanks to my brother really...he can get all the images released to the press by GM and so I had about 40 images of the car to work from, including front and side views... i didn't have any direct views of the top or the back

Nice, but thsi car as a chameleon hide in the bg. So if you chose a lighten color for the bg or a ligten color for the car be better.

Keep up!

yeh i think i made a mistake with the darker background....

i plan on doing some more renders tomorrow so i'll lighten up the background a bit.

Thankyou for answering! I agree about the car fading with the background but easy to fix anyhow.
