Hi I am really stuck and could use some advice. We have a very simple little character that we are trying to get from Maya into Director, and we are having
a strange export error:
"Error: pelvisJoint-skeleton: Error converting this object. Please check geometry, normals, shaders, and skeleton/skin data. Use Polygon | Cleanup to remove non-manifold geometry and faces with zero map area."
Of course we checked all of these things. We detatched the skin, and the surfaces export without any errors
We tested the character with just three bones, and it worked, even with animation on the bones.
Then we created and smooth-bound a complete skeleton, and it wouldn't export, and gave that error message. So somewhere between three bones and a complete skeleton, it stops working. Does anyone know if it could have anything to do with mirroring joints?
Or can you think of anything else that I'm missing?
Thanks,
Teresa
