What's up,:buttrock:
I have been working on this character for about 2 weeks and I am getting sick of looking at her.
First off I need to rig this character for animation and I am having a hell of a time, because I have never done anything like this before. If anyone wants to give me tips and pointers on that to send me in the right direction that would be cool. UV is another big issue for me. I am putting this out here to see what all you have to say about it, so general critiques are welcome. I am relatively new to this.

I will start with my reference pic. I have a character sketch that you can find on www.ayun.net under submissions (maxwell)

My only comment is that i like the facial expression on the concept alot more...I dont like the lip in the modelled one

Hi
She looks nice :)
hmm.. appearance of that character is depend from You, so I dont critique that...
I`d say that she have fine cartonish style :)
But I give You some advice: You should place shoulders under angle 45 of degrees... becouse after that model have less mistakes during the animation...
But it`s only my opinion, You know :)
I like your sketch

ehh Sorry for my bad english

Hey thanks for the reply.
the lip needs more work or a facial expression, like I said I am new at this, do you know of any tutorials for facial expressions or rigs?

Thanx

Hey man...this is an awesome character design...but it looks like your model doesn't match your drawings...for example...the eyes are sunken in the head a little too much...and if you are going to stylized...I would try and stick with your drawing...cuz it's awesome...so looking at your drawing...in the profile...your nose has harder edges...I would try and make your model more like that...but that's my two cents...but it's looking pretty sweet though man...keep up the good work...

can't wait to see her textured...ect...

i love the model... i think its turned out better than the sketch in terms of mood and feeling.

your sketch looks like a typical sexy empowered big tit action girl. which is a bit cliche'

model looks like a depressed emaciated malnutritioned sexy thing. which is a bit more original, and has given me inspiration. ;)

upper lip needs to stick out more - it kind of merges in too much - look at the concept drawings again.
Hair is glitching - may cause problems with the textures.
proportions look good - careful with the arms - model them down more like Araval said about 45 degrees or near that may help.
The socks look a little low res - have they been smoothed yet?
The wireframe has some dodgy stuff happeneing around the lower torsoe and upper legs - make sure there arent any polys with more than 4 sides - if this area isn't fixed now it may cause problems when animating.

Sort these out and you will have a really nice model. I will look forward to seeing it textured. Well done!

hey everyone.
Thanx for all the comments, its what keeps us all goin.
I am currently looking in to the lips and the shoulder thing, clothing is getting a tough but I will pull through. The model itself is a sub D but the arm things and the boots are still low res. This has to be done pretty soon so you should see the final version in a couple of weeks.
More crit is still welcome, nothing is ever perfect.

Thanx again
