Hi,
I have been working on animal fur (hair).
I try to make short fur, but need a huge fur-density in order to fill up baldness, which makes rendering time forever.
Then I try to use a fur texture to blend the geometry and the fur gradually.
However, I have still had a hard time to achieve like an example picture.
First, I can see a gap between geometry and fur because the reaction of shading in a lighting respect is different.
Second, texture itself looks a fake compared to a fur part.
I am wondering if anyone knows some tips or tutorial websites.
Thanks.
