View Full Version : How do I create tentacles effects?

I'm new user for After Effects, What I need is to set a bunch of glowing paths moving like tentacles, how to achieve this? Now I'm using a glowing 3pix width path created in photoshop (razterized and alpha channel for the glow). Bezier warp gives a full distortion of the image, all I want is the shapes moving and squeezing randomly, but bezier warp tends to distort the lines' width.

Create a new adjustment layer, draw a mask( do not close it) and animate it's shape. Use a stroke effect and add some glow.

Thank you helped a lot! now I'm half the way 'cause the problem is I have a spanish version of AFX 7 (horrible tool names translation) and I'm still looking for the glow tool. This solves the main problem: movement, thanx a lot. :-)
