cool...I like it. I wish they would just axe Bridge and replace it with this....sooooo much faster.

Looks and feels pretty solid to me, overall. Although the interface is still sluggish!

I've posted a quick review of Lightroom Beta 3 (http://www.minning.de/plog/adobe-lightoom-beta-mini-review) on my website. I'm not a professional photographer, so it's a review from the perspective of a CG artist using it to manage his texture collection as well as photos.

Bridge could be quite cool if it wouldn't be so doggone slow. I prefer XnView for all that kinda stuff, even though I miss the 'Create Cache for Subfolders' feature.

Tried it out yesterday. So far I like it a lot. It does feel a bit slow when working with a folder of RAW images, but it is much faster than Bridge, and I the interface is nice - reminds me a bit of Zbrush. It makes me feel like Photoshop might be due for some interface updates.

It is nice to see that they've gotten the windows version finally.

I've been using Lightroom since May (Mac version) when I got my E-500.
To put it simply, I love what Lightroom and shooting in RAW lets me do. (Lightroom's system requirements are considerably lower than Aperture)

played around with it and it seems to have quite a few things to tweak with. its got a nice presentation format and stuff. however i much preffer raw shooter( which adobe just bought out ), because everything in raw shooter runs at what seems to me to be 10x faster, and its much simpler/cleaner in design.

I got it this morning and played around a bit. It looks great but doesnt run very well on my Sony Vaio 1.7 ghz 512mb ram .

Im gonna try it on the 3ghz dual core 2gig ram home pc now to see if the workflow is better.

Indeed.
I'm a user of raw shooter, and i love all the simplicity and power but what pleases me more is the speed of it! For now the only thing i dislike in Lightroom is the time it takes to make even some basic color operations... I expect that as a Beta this will be improved on future versions, that and also the fact that we need to import to work on our images... i love the browse folders way of raw shooter, much more convenient. I think that Adobe will make some changes on this aspect as it is been very required by many professional photographers.

The only thing I have to complain about is that it REQUIRED SP2 to run... I'd been avoiding that successfully until now. I installed it (SP2) and immediatly ran into minor system level snags, hangs and freeze-ups. They seem to be clearing up as I restart a few more times. I'm still tempted to ditch it.

I've tried Lightroom on my work Mac a bit... Not enough to get a good feel for it. I intended to use the home system for more intensive evaluation. I've downloaded RawShooter. I think I'll go ahead and install and see how that works. I've also tried Nikon's Capture NX. I love a few of it's tools... It has a very different feel then things like Photoshop though.
