Title: Sad Robot
Name: Fabricio G. Moraes
Country: Brazil
Software: 3ds max, mental ray, Photoshop

I posted this character last year and now i decided to make a better presentation for him, putting him in a scene and remaking the lights.

Nice and cute work.

The model, texture and light are very good,
and help the mood in the scene. Congrats! :)

Amazing lighting. What kind of lighting methods did you use?

I agree with Sakari. And I love the weight of his legs - fantastic. I also like the odd angle the walls travel in and the position of the window.

Great modeling, textureing, color pallette, and lighting

Cool robot design. Looks friendly, but sad.
As someone else commented the warm and cold colour scheme works well. The lighting is dramatic and I like the look of the floor. Background looks a bit wierd, but wierd's alright! Great modelling and texturing. Overall, I like your style. 4 stars.

Really nice the robot.
For me not at the same highs the background, a little bit more work on the environments and is perfect for award!

Hey. Looks really good, I rememeber him from the first go around. Awesome character. I like the background, its intricate and a lot going on, but I don't think it overwhelms him much.

My only suggestion would be that he needs to be looking at something. I follow his gaze down to the ground expecting to see something, but there's nothing there it leaves me feeling empty and like the image isn't resolved yet. My solution would be to put a gear or two, or a gear and a spring there or something. That would hint at a story, and maybe give him a reason for being sad. I think it would really "solve" this image if you will. Right now its basically just a chacrater presentation, grant it, an awesome character and an interesting background with nice lighting, but still just a character presentation.

All around tho, nice work, and just my two cents. Cheers dude, and keep up the good work.

Thank you everyone.

I really liked what Warlock said. It could have a history in this image by just putting an element in it to look at.
My idea in this image was to make a character presentation and to make you think about why he is sad.

But thank you anyway, there is a great critic.
