Hi there!

My new private work: a bat.

Still fine-tuning the model.

The body itself won't be very detaild 'cause it will have some fur on top.

(there is some crappy aliasing on the wings - right side - that is only the rendering).

Made in max.

Tell me what you think.

i think it looks cool. if you could post some of your reference that would help people like me who dont know what a bat looks like up close. hows the fur coming?

Great start with bat. I liked the details and the proportions looks good to me. He have four ears?

I guess it is some kind of sound deflector or something (just guessing).

One update, two wires and one reference. The bat's ears are more flat in real life, but I intent to leave them this way, for a more dramatic effect.

based on that ref. image, i would say the snout/mouth/nose on your model appears too short... there's a shorter distance between the eye and the nostril in your model compared to the picture.
wonderful mesh you have there!
may i suggest c4d's Hair Module for the fur and hair on the bat?

Yeah, I guess it looks cutier this way :p

I use max, so I will put some Hair & Fur.

the bat is great never knew that their ears had those detailed "scars" inside, neither the shape of the tail...
now its like you said... some fur still missing, dont worry he wont fly off now that dawn came upon us :)

gosto em ver ppl aki na tuga k sabe bem mais do k so extrudar letras e logos, e fazer um cubo com reflexos:thumbsup:
