View Full Version : Mental Ray 1.5 and Ambient Environments...

Heya,

I need some help with Mental Ray shaders (how to's) and also some direction as to, if or if not, you can replicate the kind of lighting effects outlined in last years Siggraph notes for PRMan. Ie. Ambient environment and Ambient Oclussion to fake a sort of GI (apparently alot quicker to calcutate).

Problem 1 - I'm and games artist not a TD or programer. This doesn't mean I drool out of both sides of the mouth, but it does limit my understanding/abilities in the code department.

Any help or re-direction to the right tutorial/webpage/divine intervention etc would be great:thumbsup:
