i saw this pic:

soft glow (http://www.splutterfish.com/sf/Images/img_f05_Brazil_Red.jpg)

and i was wondering how they did it. i can get the text to emit a red glow, but i cant get the edges to fade like you see in the pic. any ideas?

I'm sure he used a post-glow to get the edges soft on that image. Should just be the render effect glow that ships with Max, or you could do it in Photoshop or another image app.

Heya,

Glow effects ?

Video Post - Lens Effects Glow

Render Effects - Lens Effects > Glow
Render Effects - Blur

Other than that, plenty of 3rd party solutions including free ones.
