Well, I really hope so. It would be very cool to see some things implemented. Maybe tune the colors of the interface to look like the discreet products? Hehe, that would look cool. :P

With all major packages releasing new versions, it would be nice to see that Maya is still King!

I doubt Autodesk/Alias will miss out on Siggraph. Maya 8 likely started development over 2 years ago, so even the take-over shouldn't stall them too much.
