Its an understandable circumstance when you realise theres only 2 programmers.
You lucky Rhino users  Now I just need to give the Chaos Group a nudge on thier XSI port ;)

I just went to the asgvis site. Note that there is a poll asking for which app we would like to see Vray for, and they have listed apps like Sketchup, but no mention of XSI? Man..
In either case, I am alittle confused on the matter.. Isn't Rhino now entering version 4? Unless the version 1.0 referes to the Vray version specific to Rhino.. in that case, it should be labeled as Vray V1.0 for Rhino version X, no? Or is it only compatible with Phino 1.0?
Im lost...

Wrong.
The entire developement of third party VRays has been given out.
The site you get the info from used the VRAY sdk to develop the Rhino version.
The label would be "VRay for Rhino" v.1.0.0, lol...
EDIT:
The same company is likely to undertake the developement of the plugins for those ARCHVIZ applications there.
On the paying-users Forums there is no mention of the XSI version being out of developement, so hold on tight.

It's just the name of the product. Same thing with 'Renderman for Maya 1.0'. In that case, of course it's not compatible with Maya 1.0, it's just the first version of 'Renderman for Maya'. Same thing with VRay for Rhino.
