Howdy.

I started making this to use in the Classical Challange this month.. But i got a bit carried away texturing, so im not sure ill enter the challange at all.

Anyway.. I hate texturing.. But im quite happy with this so far.. only worked on the horns, the eyes and the "face" so far. Horns are done... havent started on the colormap for the face yet (just bumps, diff, and spec).. Havent done nothing with the top of the head yet.. so there is a seam there..

But feedback is much appreciated.. A specially when it comes to what colors to use.. but also everything else...

I like the head., but the body just doesn't seem to fit the character, it's to human. Do something crazy, like you did with the head.
Oohh, and those eyes!! Beautifull, I love them:buttrock:

yeah, love the head, the body is noce, but it should be as unusual as the head is. BTW, could you show the files you used for the horns? I've wondered how to make a good looking horn for a while.

Thnx for the feedback, ayreon and digital magi.. I'll take some time during a meeting today to sketch out some new bodies for it (thats what meetings are for, right?).. i think you are right about that it looks too human...

digital magi: nothing special about the horns. using lightwave, magic bevel and uvmaps makes great horns.. :-) About the textures look below.. a small version for show, and a link to a big version for more details.. (warning: big one is about 850k)

Started over on body.. Beginning with the feet. Mostly done roughing out.. Gonna fix the nails (is this the correct way to spell it?.) and do a bit more work on the overall shape..

Knees and thights next.. Need feedback here, people...

I really like the muscle tone you have on those legs. Let's see your wireframe.

any crits on mine?

Looks awesome, great muslce definition on the lower legs, but it lacks a little on the upper leg in the rear. And do something with those toe nails.

keep it up!

Youre doing loops just as I am. Your edges follow the muscles.... unlike some of my friend's models, jeje, and it allows you for cool detail. Also, like I do, you have some unnecessary geometry.. as in edges that dont really need to be there to define the shape you have, but were all learning, right?

Are you a student, or are you out in the industry?

Yeah.. i try to work on my loops as best i can.. i rotate my quads until they look good.. I do have a lot of not wantet geometry as you pointed out. But i know that if i remove it, it will go 20 minutes, and then i wish i had that extra geo.. So ill clean it up later.. :-)

Not working in the industry, not a student.. just a fellow having some fun.. who knows.. someday i might even make a buck doing this.. :D

Have a nice day.. :)
