View Full Version : Premiere Audio

Hey, I'm learning Premiere, and I've been searching the book and help for the answer to my question, and couldn't find it, so I thought I'd ask here. Is there a way to take a piece of audio in premiere, and make it play only above a certain volume. As in I have someone talking, and when they aren't talking there is soft backround noise, can I cut out anything that isn't playing above a certain amount of decibals? (sp?)

You can use "Noise Gate". It's under the Dynamics section of the audio effects. Adjust the threshold to knock out the BG noise.
