(30k, kinda a small limit isnt it? 50k was bad enough)

It started as a photograph. Alot of work done in photoshop. heres a "bloom" version.
sorry about the crappy compression.
Its kinda funny this picture was taken in my bathroom on my toilet seat, with my Nikon CoolPix 775. because i didnt have any other hard white surfaces. You really have to improvise sometimes
I always apprieciate critques on style, composition, anything i might use to make my next image better.

This is very nice. I wonder how you might make the petals look less like they are sitting in/on liquid, and more like they are melting.

heres the orginal photo. The rose is dried out so its been dead about 2 months.

you could... slap a poem right there about breaking up. and send it to YM or whatever mag your little sister is reading. or not.

I wonder what the effect would be if you used a more lively rose, and a combination of fresh/shriveled petals...
