Hi I'm a newbie to after effects. I've been looking thru the tutorials but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

I have a colour sequence rendered of a rotating object. I need to make areas glow. So I have rendered another B&W glow pass. Can you tell me how I use the glow pass in AE as a mask to create a glow on the colour pass? Or a pointer to a tutorial that may help.

Thanks for your help!

You could set your B&W glow layer on top of the colour pass, duplicate it several times, blur each layer a different amount, and change their transfer modes to screen.

For more control, you could use the B&W pass as a Luma track matte (look up track mattes in the manual) for a new glow layer.
