Hi,
I`m going to make a scene where a young girl escapes on her ship from the bad guys:)
I would like it to be in cartoon/fantasy mood, but we`ll see how is it going to turn out.

Best regards
Mateusz,

Hey, looks pretty good. I like the details. Is that a flag at the top of the mast.?.? it almost looks like a continuation of the sail... maybe move that further up?

I will stay tuned... can't wait to see what else you have...

Hey LabRat1 yes it is a flag. I will put it higher.

It looks really cool, but her legs are too short. It makes her look funny, because of the proportions.

nice style. i agree the legs look a bit short, the whole thing looks like clay.

you might be helpped by tightening up the jacket and pants on her body and showing some feminine features, making the arms and legs, longer, and making the hands a bit bigger

the boat is lookn pretty awsome, what would the paddles be needed for if she has turbines and a sail? looks like an air ship

thx for the comments
Kickflipkid687, Gkaine- yes you`re right the legs will be definately changed but later:) the paddles won`t be needed because it`s an air ship as you have noticed:]
little update on the girl with more feminine look. I hope you like it

Hi Mateusz,

Very nice and catchy character this girl !!!
Maybe the sleeves should be tappered out near the jacket ? They seem to constrict her arm movement a abit.

Hey ... keep the paddles you never know when she's gonna need them.

Keep up the good work.

Hi thx for your comments. I`ve changed my mind and I`m not going to do the whole scene but just the girl. I`ve made some tweakings on her.

cute character! and with the boat too, i think it'll make a cool little scene.

some little crits (hopefully they're useful!)

i'd bring back the darkness to the eyes more towards your original post, it should give a nice cartoony yet lively feeling to it (right now you have a reflection, right? i'd tone it down or not use it, unless you thing there will be close ups and you want a reflection).

also id' put a little more volume to those hands. i'm not quite sure how to approach this (maybe post some other shots of the hands) but i think one issue is the thumb being almost level with the hand giving it that flat hand look. i'd see about exagerating with it a little more?

you have any other views of the character? if you post some of those, i'll take a look at them too.

pretty cool model! keep it up!

hey thx nucleburn. Very good point about the eyes i don`t like them too. i think i`ll tone it down. The hands are a fast-mades so they`re going to be changed too. When I have some spare time i`ll post some other renders.

A well done character if you'd ask me, doesn't always have to be realistic... cartoon-ish is also FUN! :)

One little thing though, at her neck / jacket you can see right through, I think its a small error

[EDIT] Nevermind I see you fixed it saw it fixed in the link you gave us in your last post hehe :bounce: [EDIT]

IanV- thx, yeah I think you`re right it doesn`t have to always be foto realistic:) but people unfortunately seem to prefer it more:)

Really nice character, I had my doubts when I saw the first image, but you really fleshed it out. How are you working? I always model everthing on the character in passes, bringing each part of the model to the same level of realization with each pass. You seem to be taking individual elements to a really high degree of realization before moving on. Maybe this is just my assumption.

The bleach marks on the jeans need some work, you can see the round brush you used to paint them, just a little smudging will do. I would make the legs a little less strait. Just have them hug a more shapely thigh, but then let them get strait again as they pass the knee (just a suggestion). The hands need some work too, the fingers are too stubby. Boots? platform or low heel, high or low cut?

I'd like to see a front side and back shot.

Great SSS shader! nice work on the eyes too.

Beautiful work, Looking forward to seeing more!

Yes you`re quite right about my workflow. I like to put each part to a quite high level and then give it some adjustment when something seems to be wrong.

small update
