Hi all,

Here is a character that I have been working on for sometime now. I still have some aniamtion set-up to do, to start with there are no facial expressions done. But other then that, I think what you see is pretty well it. Though I may need to still do some more texturing tweaking, etc :)

PS sorry for the smallish image, but 30K isn't a lot and I don't have any place else to put it.

Thanks

Quite good. But some extra texture work for the coloring could be helpful. Plus the pose could be made more fluid like, and the musle tone be brought out abit. But all in all it's well done. How about a wireframe? Nice overall work.:applause:

I'm no expert( my work is a childrens crayon drawing compaired to your's! ) but I think she looks a little rigid and theres something about her legs that bother me...but I agree, a brilliant effort! And it shows.

Thanks guys, its nice to know I am making progress.

In the case of the pose, it is in fact a frame form a short animation. Upto this point I haven't done any animation, been busy working on modeling, etc.

Yes the muscle tone needs some work, its only my second ever body, and I think its the knee and the lower leg connection point at the knee, its too fat and the knee isn't defined enough. Still, too late now, given skinning, etc. I will just take notes and apply what I learn to the next model.

As for the texturing, well its the first time I have ever done UV unwrapping and applied textures from Photoshop. With luck I at least have the unwrapping done correctly, so I can play with the textures for as long as I want to. :)

I guess now its time to spend as much time on texturing and animation as I have so far spent on modeling. Still that was the whole point of this, to have a rigged character thats worth texturing and animating.

O'yeah, heres a wireframe :p

I agree with the others. Looks very good, especially for being one of your first. The texture is the only thing that REALLY jumps out at me as needing work. If anything, she's just a big pale, but that's just me.

Her overall body shape seems good.

Just an opinion, it would look nicer if her legs were slightly thinner.

And definitely work on the facials (quickly).

Your modelling ability is better than mine for sure, so keep up the good work :)

Well, if we were to seriously critic the facials we should have to see a closeup, overall I like the model :)

Thanks for the feedback guys, I am seriously looking at going back a few steps to the modelling process and tweaking the arms, legs, etc.

In the mean time here is a new image at a different angel with an adjusted skin tone. Not sure if it any better, just different.
