Real basic question. How do you do camera projection textures in maya?

Hi! I'll try to give an easy answer:

1. Assign a shader to the object you want projected onto.
2. Open the Attribute Editor and look at that shader.
3. Press the checkery mapping button next to the attribute of your choice like Color.
4. In the 'create render node' window that comes up, set the placement type to 'As Projection' rather than 'Normal' and choose to create a File Texture.
5. Load the image you want to be projected, then click on the projection/placement tab at the tob of the Attribute Editor.
6. I think the default projection type will be set to Planar, but you want to change it to Perspective.
7. When you do that, some new attributes will be added there that let you choose which camera you want to project from, etc.

Hey Jared!

I'm trying to get this to work aswell - I had it going fine a while back, but now it seems there's one little box or something I'm not checking because the testure is stretched vertically. Any ideas???

ps - you the man :)
