i've just started using the l_glass shader, (i had to use an MR shader for an interior render with GI, and standard maya shaders won't let photons through glass).

anyway the new problem is i can't seem to get an alpha channel on objects that have been assigned l_glass (version 2.0beta), i've made sure passing custom alpha in globals is checked, no difference. the only way i got alpha to work was passing it through a standard maya shader, which took a million years to render for some reason.

is there another way to enable alpha on this shader...? (must be a single pass solution). tia.

With the l-glass shader, under the glass tab, check "invert alpha".
I think it will resolve the problem.
