Hi, I've been working on and off on this image for a couple of days but i seem to have come to a bit of a standstill with it. It's basically trying to present a feeling of lonelyness with the concept coming places like asylums and derelict prison buildings.

Any ideas?

Well, my first reaction is that the wall and floor textures looks too low res. Maybe you could overlay the file textures with a subtle high detail procedural?
The glow and grain thingy you got going on gives a nice feeling of a dusty room. If that's what you're going for, how about some volumetric light?
Also, I kinda react to the sharpness of the corner in the middle of the image, I think it kinda kills the feeling of realistic light. Maybe you should try softening the corners using ambient occlusion or a dirt shader?

Keep it up :)

Nice, I like the lighting setup. There's a lot of contrast, which adds to the atmosphere.

The texture looks a little low-rez, probably because of the long shadows as well. It might be the bump map too, dunno.

I also think the scene looks a little too bumpy and diverse now, maybe toning down the bump map would add some uniformity.

im thinking that the scale of the texture resolution is off. something i learned from retro studios is that everything has to be in scale, even textures. i like your lighting, its very nice. i think that once you fix the texture issue it will, look real good.

Thanks, I agree with all of you on the textures, there actually recycled from an old project on the same theme but as the camera's so much closer in this i think it's time for a new set of textures.

thanks
