Hello, all. For your enjoyment or heckling purposes (but hopefully enjoyment,) I present my thesis animation from the Pratt Institute. I'm sure I could load it up with qualifiers, but everyone could. So, here are a few stills, and I hope you enjoy it.

hey nice work there. I have to admit it was a bit confusing to me but I enjoyed it. I think you could have made it a bit shorter so you could work the animation some more. You have a lot of parts where parts of the characters body just completely freeze up. This makes the character look dead. Also, on the walks, make sure when he lifts his leg from the ground that his weight is on his other leg. Otherwise if feels like he should be falling over. Looks like you did a lot of work though. Good job, keep it up.

Thank you kindly for your feedback. It is always appreciated.

In small defense, I wish I was a better character animator, but it's not what I'm ultimately going for. But yes, I know what you mean about the animation. It was a constant struggle (as well as arguments about stylization for the characters and their movement and blah blah blah,) and I am endeavoring to improve that area of my work. This is definitely not an excuse, just a reason for this particular bit. So please, I beg your patience. :)

I am glad you still enjoyed it, weird animation and all!!!

Cool short! it has a timburtonesque style to it (i invented a new word :) )

Like EarBrawley said, there´s some awkward movements here and there, but i think it kinda fits the weird enviroment that transpires throughout the short.

One thing that may have helped imo was doing something with the sky, dont know, have some clouds or stars or whatever, like it is, totally black, it gives a feeling of sadness and... hollowness or something. Anyway, way to go

Thank you very much, ShyGuy! I'm actually QUITE glad you found it to look hollow and empty and sad. Which is not to say that some day murky clouds will appear... :)

was quite cool.

I like the style, although you could have polished it a bit more... I have to agree to shy-guy and earlbrawley... the animation needs some more polishing.

Overall I think it was a bit too clean and long (shorter is better... had to learn that the hard lesson as well already ;) ) keep on improving with your next projects... it's all a question of practice... it's not magic! :)
