simple Button shelf question

Hold Shift and Ctrl when you choose a command from the main menu and it will create a button on the current shelf for that command.

In addition to that any text that you drag on the shelf creates a button. (preferably mel script so that it is useful :))

For example select the text below and drag it from this message to a shelf area in Maya.
