Hi guys,

I'm very happy to discover that the long awaited Captain Scarlet series 2 is finally making it to dvd this September

For those that aren't aware this is a remake of the original Gerry Anderson Captain Scarlet puppet tv show, only now the puppets have been replaced by pretty nice 3d characters and sets.

For those that missed it I reccommend that you check it out, although its a kids tv show it does have some fairly adult content - (gruesome deaths and adult in jokes) and loads of action sequences.

I personally reckon its one of the best cg tv shows out there at the moment.

Anyway, full story below.

For a CG TV series it's pretty cool.

I'm curious however what has happened to the Indistructible production Company who made it. Their website CaptainScarlet.com is down.

I hope they havn't ironicly died :(

The studio was setup for that one production only - The aim was to get more money from investors after the Captain Scarlet show was done, but for various reasons (I personally believe that the show wasn't marketed well at all) that the interest from investors hasn't happened.

Its a real shame because I know for a fact that Gerry Andersons ideas for another (different) show were really exciting and another step up from what was achieved on Scarlet.

A real missed opportunity in my oppinion.

It is, except for the bits you did Paul, they are big piles of steaming donkey dirt...

Only joking mate - it's all good, thank you for your contribution.

The same thing occured with the Roughnecks show, managment pulled the plug before they gave it a chance. But at least Scarlett was finished unlike Roughnecks.
