i wonder, if mental ray maya can interpret mayas switch utilities. i`m currently trying to render a scene, which was originally built for mayas default renderer in mr. this scene includes a lot of triple switches in rder to keep the number of shaders small. i`m getting the following error message:
mental ray for Maya 1.5 Public Beta
mental ray: version 3.1.2.13, 4 Sep 2002
mental ray: compiled on: Windows NT 4.0, x86
API 0.0 warn 302018: type conflict: "color" is type color, "maya_tripleswitch" returns type vector
API 0.0 warn 302018: type conflict: "inTriple" is type vector, "maya_file" returns type color
... and so on ...

what i found out, is that i git this problem only, when i?m trying to render a go/fg image. when rendering an image with preview settings, mr interprets the shaders correctly. i will attach an immagem, of what i get, when trying to render with gi/fg settings

i`m currently using mr 1.5 public beta. is it fixed in the final version? do i have to rebuild all shaders which use a switch utility?
