hello,

i created this image just for fun.
the car is from 3d02 and not made by me.
i just added some additional models and all lights , shaders in maya

Looks pretty nice! but what about the water droplets.. how did you do it?

i created the drops using a displacement texture.
first i used the map on a layered shader but it looked somehow ugly ( strange dents).
then i simply duplicated the geometry and added the map on displacement, transparent and specular channel.

that worked quite good and the render-times are still okay.

the cool thing is, i can now animate the height of the displacement and the object itself for animated droplets.

you can work a little bit on the car shader but thats nit picking. i like it.
