View Full Version : Tablet Problem
LemonNado 07-12-2006, 11:50 AM I finaly broke down and got a Wacom 6x11 Tablet. Excellent. Much better than the old 'crap' I had before. But now I have a Problem with C4D. And C4D only. When I use the Tablet Mouse the menues pop open when I select a tab but I cannot select an option as they close before I can press any menu option. When I right click and then quickly left click the menu's stay open. But sliders and other controls are also affected. I saw an option in properties for tablets and set that ceck mark. That prevented view port madness which I also had, but the selection does not work right. Any hints?

I would first make sure that Tablet Mode is selected in the c4d prefs, and you may need to check or uncheck the "use hi res coordinates" -- different people have different luck with different combinations of that, I think.
You may want to try unplugging and replugging the USB cable. I have a simliar problem on occasion with my 4x5 usb wacom on my laptop. Basically, it ends up double clicking everything, so everything gets really hard to do. I unplug and replug the usb and then it tends to work. I think it has something to do with my (toshiba) laptop coming from hibernation or something.

I had the _exact_ problem with my Wacom tablet but switching from hi res coordinates did the trick.

Yup that did it. I'm not convinced yet if the upgrade from an Aiptec el cheapo to the expensive tablet justified the price. Besides the price there has been no difference in daily use... But then again, I'm only using it for a couple of days and might quickly change my mind... Enlightenment did not strike yet 8-).
