I got a texture map that is in Tiff format with a alpha channel with it.

The RGB channel is red, alpha channel is just painted with a big white dot in the center.

Then i apply to a sphere, What i want do is to have the white dot on the sphere. The rest are transparent.

What i get now is either the whole sphere get transparent or thing is transparent.

how do i apply and arrange the render tree to get the effect that i want.

i've checked ed's website. It doesn't have any tutorial that talks about it.

Plz help, urgent!!!thanks thnaks:cry:

your_pic > color2alpha > (phong)transparency...
dont forget to apply it to the specular or you will have
spec. in your transparency
