hi folks,

fairly simple problem here...

i have a targa sequence, which is basically comprised of mostly black frames, interspersed with a white frame here and there...kinda like a horribly broken strobe light.

anyhow, i'm looking for a way to connect this sequence to drive the rate of a particle emitter.

here's what i've tried so far;

setup a float attribute with min-0 and max-1, which is driving the emitter rate from between 0 and 10.

now here's where i think i'm going about this the wrong way... i'm connecting the color/transparency (tried both) values to the float attribute, via the connection editor...

and so at this point, it doesn't seem to be driving it. can anyone shed any light?

thanks 10000 in advance
