View Full Version : Selling xsi
lars_50 01-17-2003, 09:57 AM Hello,
I have a question that I hope someone can give me a little help on.
We have 2 xsi 1.0 Extreme licenses and to licenses of the second newest softimage version (donīt rememer the version).
But we currently donīt use them, Is there anyone who might be interessted in buying them? or does anyone now were I can find a suitible place or forum to sell them? How much are they worth? or isnīt there any secondhand value in the packages I mentioned, maybe one could uppgrade them for a reasnoble amount of money?
Best Regards
Lars

I doubt anyne will buy them since you can easily download Xsi 3.0 full from kazaa..(but thats :thumbsdow ) and anyone who needs a legal copy is in a company and they buy it from a vendor.
I don't agree, saving a bit of $ on a transfer is good deal as its sw so no wear, commercial houses need it as you mention, and I believe XSI allows resale unlike some others. But it can be tough finding a buyer,
PS to anyone, use a crack if you have to :thumbsdow but don't flaunt it or negate someone who paid for it and thus its developement which you are taking advantage of now

which part isn't true u say?.. well they both are true..
anyone who NEEDS a licenced copy is someone that is part of an organization that is profiting from the software and cannot use unlicenced versions.. if you are not part of such an organization then you do not NEED a licenced copy because Avid isn't losing anything and you aren't gaining anything.. its equal.. if you pay just to use it for personal purposes you are :insane:
this is not true:
"anyone who needs a legal copy is in a company and they buy it from a vendor."
some software can be resold, and is, that's not refutable, the answer to why is obvious in the savings
