My first post. I am new to 3ds max and modeling and I am trying to recreate the vangogh seen i have included in this post in order to learn more about 3d.
I have started to model the chair first using splines. The problem I am having is I am not sure how to add pieces to the chair. So far I have created a basic outline of the upper part of the chair using splines and then created a surface using the cross section.\ in 3ds max.
How do I add the mid part of the chair? Do i outline it using the splines and then convert to a edit mesh to join. When I do this I get too many vertices and it makes the model very complex.
There are many elements to the chair. What is the best way to build them. I am confident in modeling them individually but i am not clear how to bring all the pieces together to make one unified 3d cage.
Help appreciated.
