View Full Version : Volumetric Light And SLA?

I have a big volumetric light and and material with SLA 3D noise on the alpha channel. I making a Smoke (like on the upper one http://www.jeremyw.com/C4D_Stuff/fire/index.html). The Volumetric Light is as big as the whole scene. and when change the Global Scale to something like 4000% the shader becomes really low quality and not so detailed?

anyone know what i'm talking about?

it may be that you need to up the number of octaves in the material, alternatively you may need to up the number of samples in the visible light settings for the light (or rather reduce the distance between teh samples).
