Hi, i am using 3DS Max and am going to start to learn compositing. i need to learn a package that has good tools for making logo animation effects, and generally very good for comercial work. i dont need anything to advanced, but something that can give great results and is very flexible in areas like blur effects, color correction and matching, particle effects, transitions, etc.. im looking at After Effects, Fusion, or Combustion. I would really appreciate some info and input as to where each software has its advantages. thanks in advance guys.

cheers.

If you do a search in this forum you'll find plenty of similar threads, with comparison between applications (AE vs Combustion vs DF etc)
Generally if you need tight intergration with 3dsmax, guess which app will be more suitable?
Apart from Combustion, AE has got some plugs that work with 3dsmax well.
COmbistion has good particles embedded,
but in AE you can get Trapcode Particular and loads more plugs.

DF is on another level but more specialized and pricey.

Download the demos and see in which one you feel more at ease.
