View Full Version : xsi symmetry modelling
CGILLEO 01-16-2003, 10:49 PM Hello everyone. I have recently switched to xsi from 3d studio max. I was wondering is there a way to model symmetrically. I am modelling using surface approximation and dont want to cut my mesh in half. For example I want to model the eyes by duplicating faces and shape by moving edges around and there is no seam in the middle of the mesh. Is there some tool or something that when i do this it will appear on the other side of the mesh. I have seen them do this in lightwave. Thanks in advance.

select your object and then go to property>symmetry map.
activate the symmetry button on the MCP and then to see it in action tag some points on the e.g left part and transform..
hope this helps
