CGTalk - mapping with sub d's questions

Hi,
Im trying to map my plane which is in sub's, My teacher never did this before but selecting all the faces if i modify it back to polygon will be annoying.

I first tried going to sub level display 0 and tried to map it this way but its not working,
is their an easier way out of this?
