OK i am making a Toon character with the stop staring setup for my facial animation. However i am running into real problems with the teeth.

When in extreme poses the teeth need to disapear. Although when animating the interpolation shows the shrinking teeth in the viewport on the inbetween frames.

Any advice.

Range Mapper maybe?

Oh yeah, and your opinions and tips on using stop staring for toons with extreme facial poses.

how are you hiding the teeth? Scaling, maybe I need to see pics of your regular and extreme pose to understand. I'd simply animate visibility if they simply ned to disappear.

Depending on how "extreme" of a pose you may need to resort to multiple morphs blending with rangemapper to get a smooth transition to the desired pose.

Picture this... A toon jaw dropping to the floor. So i found the problem. I didn't have the scale going down with the jaw, i had it scaling to 0 right where it was.

We had a stop motion interface in before i started to convert it to stop staring. We were trying to make it look like stop motion animation but changed our minds. So when i setup the morph i didn't need to have the scale follow the jaw because there were no inbetween interpolations.

:)

Kai, do you think a better solution would be to have the teeth weighted to the jaw bone and then morph in place?

Sure my site is www.cgfreelance.com (http://www.cgfreelance.com) check out the gallery link.

But beware i don't have any of my best stuff up there. Still pulling together all my recent/best stuff.

This job about the toon head will be my first lipsync job. Pretty pumped about that. Is work for the pilot episode of a tv series being produced entirely in c4d. Woohoo. That's all i can reveal though. :)
