Hi,here's my problem:
In my scene there's about 200 blinn shaders,each one renamed (bed,pillow,cup.....and so on)and now I have decided to turn these blinn shaders into lambert,in orther to achieve another look,but.....THE NAME CHANGES!!!WHAT ONCE WAS BED,NOW IS LAMBERT33!!!!
is there a way to keep the names changing the kind of shader?
a script maybe?

The thing is, the blinn shaders are probably still in your scene, just not connected to the objects.

The only way to make it easier than doing it by hand is to write a script that will look for all the blinn shaders and make a corresponding lambert shader, copying over relevant attributes and reassigning shading groups.

Maybe there's a suitable script in one of the online places like highend3d?

therez a script available, i just read 2days back in this forum go to maya/melscripts, u should search for it,that script will change all blin to lambert without changing the name, or i doubt it may be in www.highend3d.com
