I think you should leave his forehead just the way it is..
Looks very hard, and the pose itīs like heīs gonna charge and headbut someone..heeheh
Very cool model..:D

Great start.
love that head!!
got tired of modeling so i set what i have up into what will be close to the final pose, i also want some advice....
1. should i keep him low poly. for the look/style
2. should i give him wings, if i did the would be huge
thanks for the replys

heyas chi,
i would add some more definition on him and maybe smooth it a lil more.
BUT NOT MUCH!!!
i guess i know the looks u want and i like it.
wings.... i dont know man.... i wouldnt.
he looks like a very earth-like character....
maybe a horned spine along his back..... just a thought.
btw. loved ur last render.
see ya.

Yeah this model is evolving nicely, give the wings a try, also a bit higher poly count would improve it more, I think.
k so i did some work, tried some wings and while they look realy cool, i dunno mabey not yet... now big boney blades, thats the cool stuff
not a huge update but its still cool..
i think i need to add some chains or cloth, or meat chunks in the jaw mmmm tasty
and what i'd really like is to add fur but no such luck as i only have cinema 4d, its nice program and all but i want the use of truly cool third party plugs, oh well
pic time

Man im friggin in love with this character....I really would like to see him fully textured and what not...;)
I think i like him so much cause he makes me think of somthing "the MAXX" would have to fight...like shark man...
Keep pushing those pollies man!!
light dome set up looks cooler than radiosity, un fourtunatly rendertimes are still pretty much the same, anywho....
a side view of my demon beasty
quik pose, i want more to this guy but i have no ideas

On your marks... ready.... go!
Nice demon, a bully one. I also think he looks a pedestrian one, but if you want to give him wings, go on! Yep, fur could be great just on the chest an shoulders, perhaps.

nice work so far...you're interested in fur with c4d..there's a hair/fur pluggie from bgs-group .... www.bgs-group.de unfortunately the site seems to be only available in German...just hit service>plug-ins then the top one is the plug which is available in English too with some pdf-handbook ;) and it's for free, just check it out ;)

damn. didnt see this thread. its comming along great. are you modelling him already preposed ? ..cuz thats what im going to do for mine :)
how are you linking modelling in cinema ( thsts cinema right ?) than mirai.
keep it up man
thanx 20mol, im checking out the hair plug now, well see what we can get
hey martin, preposed? eh i guess, its kind of a half half thing
mostly cuz i strongly dislike ik in c4d, one of the reasons i miss mirai
modeling...i love box modeling...but c4d lacks some of the tools that make mirai my all time fav program, so with this model i started with a sphere and created the head, and then the rest of the model is created via point by point, oh fun
but i have to say its one of my more succesful models
and thanx for the replies

err..i meant--- pre-posed. like your modelling him already posed. ?
sorry bout that.
( i like robots too)
i know what you ment i gues my reply wasnt clear, ive modeled about half of him in a pose and then the other half is just symetry??( srry cant spell right now)
and i like robots
VERY,VERY,nice model!!! i love the pose!! yez!:)

fetus
ohh more replies, i hope this doesnt go to my head :applause:
yes i may be from alberta but you are from the evil colony oy calgary.... just kidding rivalys suck :)
all my artistic talent goes to the ever important superstore, at work my job technicaly is a courtesy clerk, in laymans terms im truly everbodies bitch
animate... i strongly dislike c4ds ik system, i miss mirai...
texture...mabey if i come up with a cool procedural... im lazy, and not the greatest with texturing
ha from the depths of the 4 or 5th page...cant remember.... i arise with a mighty hair ball....errm..... update
oh joygasm

uuuop! What strange method of modelling! but it's really "funny"!. I like it
I think this beast is very demonic with a great pose too.
But it would be better (I suppose) if you place the camera in to the floor and the animal is looking at us with so dangerous teeht!
And you could add a glow-bright eyes.
Finally,.. I would like see a short animation of fast movements of this demon!! grruuua! :scream:

Nice:wip: I love the stile, but if u going on low poly try different smooth angles.;)
I love yor choise of softvere , think u ar only one on this forum who work on Cinema 4D...
Good luck!:D
hey thanx for the response pabbloz & eugeny, much apreiciated
i,ll try some different poses and camera angles
and well see about animation..im still iffy with that, back to school now

Awesome hell-hound, I like the fangs you added, but what's up with the "fur." It's gott a very interesting, kinda cool feel to it, but it's also kinda strange. Either way, it's cool to see a non humanoid demon in this challenge.
Good luck!

lookin good, hoiw'd you render the endges in the editor like that in C4D.
I agree hair on the chest would be nice but hard in C4D, try some of the free hair lugs or somethin. Model looks great though, you have really improved since I last saw your stuff

" I think u ar only one on this forum who work on Cinema 4D" hahahahah . . . :D
chi- Nice stuff I managed to miss it too , but looking good. I'd keep the hair a bit on the long side, so he doesn't look ragedy (sp?). Maybe just hair on the shoulders and underparts of the legs ? (how are you doing the hair anyway, just cloned geometry?)
Also you might tweek some of the polys on the leg so they kinda resemble muscles (just upper arm) and maybe add a joint to the thumb ?
Kaiskai- Best way to render edges etc. is to give the model whatever look you want (AKA for base model all hN off) and then use the toon renderer for edges, works beautfully, and is antialiased to boot :)
see you guys,
Farley13
hey kaiskai, long time no here from :P
the wireframes are just simple screen caps :)
i know im brilliant
hey farley, i know c4d is so underated sometimes
the hair is created with hair department i beleive there is a link to it in this thread somewhere
right now im in the middle of tweaking detail level, colour, and a completely new hair set up, updates may come soon

great pose!
very stylish low-poly modell, but i don't like the hair. in my opinion they distract to much from his overall shape.
marcom
Pretty strange style!...i love the pose....agressive! the render is unique too!
