View Full Version : Jenna in7, save as obj and open that in 8?
Erik Heyninck 01-16-2003, 05:50 PM Just an idea: would it be possible to continue and use jenna in C7.303, save as an obj file, and open that in C8 and do the rest of the work over there?
I know: I could try it out, but I already uninstalled 7 and before reinstalling someone might show me why this is not a good idea.

though i have not done any testing, as far as creating "still geometry" with jenna, it seems like it would work just fine (i just tried a few simple jenna things - converted to object - then it is just plain old geometry - opened fine in 8)
of coarse you can't adjust or animate any more...
but i agree that this is one way to maintain some of jennas functionality in 8 (better than nothing i guess)

Yup, indeed: animation. It shows that I come from Art7, doesn't it...? Still: time to reinstall 7 I suppose...

isnt it possible just to do a current state to object on a jenna object? i dont have the plug so i wouldnt know, cause then you can just save it as a R7 .c4d, and open it up in 8
