Hi,

We have just completed 4 spots for Discovery Channel UK. We used Cinema4D for modeling and animation and After Effects for the composite and post effects.

You can view the work HERE (http://www.hypa.tv/pages_info/discoverychannel.htm)

Thanks for looking.

Tim

(All modeling was completed by HYPA except the Space Shuttle and the Spitfire.)

This is a totally nubie question regarding animation but I need to start somewhere:
In the video clip, many of the objects are quickly "poping up" from a nearly invisible size to their full, final size. Is this just a matter of sizing and positioning everything in their final resting places and then keyframing with the scale tool to give them a shrunken starting point a few seconds earlier on the timeline? Effectively working in reverse?
I just wonder as I have to do something like this soon and don't want to do a lot of unnecessary work.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,

It is a matter of positioning your axis in the correct place then scaling the objects up. To create the springy effect, we used the MoGraph module for cinema4D this has a delay effector which helps achieve that. You can always do it by setting more scale keys to simulate that effect.

thanks

Great stuff. I noticed the bridge which is one of your demo samples for MoGraph. Nice smoke on the Spitfire - is that Cinema or Particular?
