Curious, are you using box modeling or point by point? I think you're on the right track, it's just a matter of moving points around to the right places. Like the eye, it's got a good curve from the front, but it need one looking down from the top now to.
But then, I'm not very good at heads myself so...
Do you have the hyper nurbs outside of the symmetry? It kind of looks like it's a child of the sym, which can cause some strange effects at the edge.
Make sure to post an update. :)

i'm doing point by point, don't like box modeling. Just recently found out how to model pointbypoint so I decided I'll try a human head. It gives you more control to model this way.
"Do you have the hyper nurbs outside of the symmetry? It kind of looks like it's a child of the sym, which can cause some strange effects at the edge. " - Symmetry is inside the hypernurbs and polygon object inside the hypernurbs:
Hyper Nurb
- symmetry
- polygon object
is this correct ??

You have the right idea, you're just going at it the wrong way.
This is by far, the best head modelling tutorial, I've ever seen:
http://www.evil-plan.com/technique.html
I mean it in the best way possible when I say: "You should start from the very beginning again, using evil-plan's method"
(but that's just an opinion, but I feel it's the best advice I can give you)
