export .flv not working

if u have flash 8, try the standalone flv video encoder.

When I try to export a .flv file all I get is a white screen. When i export a .swf it plays fine. I want to try a .flv becasue when I export the file as a .swf its 2mb and i am trying to get the 15sec clip under 1mb.

Sometimes you can't view FLV files using Flash Player (I never can). Try using Martijn de Visser's awesome FLV Player (http://www.martijndevisser.com/blog/article/flv-player-updated) - works great for me. The file you created is probably fine but needs to be viewed properly.

Did anyone ever figure this out??? I am having the same problem! All of a sudden AE 7 crashes everytime I try to export a FLV. I have tried uninstalling both AE and the Flash video exporter severall time and still I get the same crash.


Any ideas?

I found out what the problem is -- it's the Riva FLV player and/or encoder. If you have this installed it will conflict with AE. I uninstalled it and the FLV exporter works now!
