I'll ask this only to maybe get a confirmation that it should run ok.
Since Server on OSX 10.4 Tiger have problems in MultiCPU machines do I have these two options?

-1 Running CHUD on the Server/Tiger
-2 And what I'm thinking of doing.
Install 10.3.9/Panther on a separate disc. Then still have the Clients run on Tiger Macs.

The main reason is that my Server would be my "office" machine, a G4 Dual450.
Using only one CPU on that might be a -little- tight.

So basically , does Server/Panther and Clients/Tiger go along well?

Cheers

what you post is what i use.

i've read a report lately about multi-core chips and problems when one core is used (in the case of many things that aren't multi-threaded, or in this case of using CHUD to turn off one core)

essentially the issue was based around the fact of the temperature differences between the two cores can be very severe and cause issues. like one core is extremely hot at full load and the other is not. i wish i could find that article again to re-read it again closer... i'm not sure if there are long term issues with it, but it did make me stop and think...
