Hi Everyone:D

I'm a recent grad of The Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago and I'm always up for improvements to my work.

Below is a link to my student demo reel. Any constructive thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

My Demo Reel (http://www.jasonburley.com/small_reel.mov) 320x240 36 megs

If you want, go ahead and surf the site. The portfolio part of the site is the only thing with content, being that I'll be without a scanner for the next few days.

Thanks again and enjoy.

Hey man,

You got some pretty cool stuff, I like the dog animation :)

I think but in general your 3d animation moves a little too slow, and with too much even timing on everything,

ie when the baking soda dude jumps off the ledge, theres an equal amount of time spent on the anticipation for the jump, as for the actual jumping, and then for falling, it all looks very linear and I hate to say it but kinda flat and lacking in 'pizazz'

if you made him squat more, and only for a small amount of time, and then when he jumps, maybe him him wiggle while hes in mid air, and then make him zip downwards, so as to give an idea of gravity and weight. you could use a lattice deformer maybe and make him stretch a little before he completely falls

also when he wakes up, you could add one frame of anticipation before, and then one frame of an extreme after he opens his eyes and spreads out his hands, so it looks more like he "pops" awake, if thats what you were after,

anyway its real cool nonetheless, keep it up :)
