Hey my name is Erwin Staniszewski and I'm beginning a demo reel in collage. I am creating a creature for rigging which I may do later. Critiques would be interesting to hear and any suggestions with modelling or props to go with the creature.
THNKS.

Hmmm, yeah.... um.. Erwin? About your last name? Why is it so hard to prenounce all the time, like really? whats the deal with that? Maybe if you key some sort of... prenounciation KEY thing - it might be esier for me to evaluate your model, hmm?
- DOOM!
P.S. Of.... DOOM!

Thanks for the comments. As for the corn.. hm.. I'll have to think about that one. I am however, working on the legs and mouth now and will post updates soon.
Cuse, it's created in maya 4.5.
I'm posting the rotation of the creature.

Hi Erwin,
I like the creature concept. It's hard to tell whats happening with the model though, no wireframes.
Really Good Modeling Resources (http://www.impactforensic.com/images/wings/loops.htm)
I wanted to give you this link and show you these few articles I've collected on modeling with polygons. It's mainly stuff that talks about how to structure your geometry to create a clean mesh that is easy to manipulate. It's worth looking through if you haven't seen them already.

Thanks for the link lowdown. I specialized in animation and modelling is really new to me. The hobbit guy has an interesting approach.
I am including the mesh for you to view and hope to get a reply. This is my second day working on this model (10hrs).

I think that right now the reason that your character looks so blob like is because he is fat on the top as well as the bottom. You have strayed away from your concept, you should exaggerate the skinny legs alot more. Maybe have the guy hobble around and fall every now and again because his legs are so skinny. I know this is an early model but just a few directions to go in.

Is it getting difficult to work with? It looks like it is. Did you read those Essays from that link? Not that they are the all that ends all, but I think it's a good quick read.
They explain the basic pronciples much better than me.

Thanks for the comments.
It's becoming a bit difficult to work but I'm just trying to get the eye lids down and the mouth in shape. And yeah graphix 19, I do believe that his head is a bit bigger than the origional drawing. It kind of looks in place then if it was smaller.. then again, I am acting upon your suggestion and see how it appears in time. I'll post up the progress for anyone else who would like to share some opinions>>>>

Here is the latest update.
Controlling the pinching around the mouth is what I'm currently working on. Lighting is included for better effect and added an area where the teeth will be.
Any comments certainly appreciated.
