Hey guys
First time here, so be gentle :)
All models made in Lightwave.
These are models for IL2 stormovik.
I build them and then the makers of the game process them.
( they have a physics similator that get its data from actual flight data and heavy math. )
This way the most accurate flightmodels can be made.
Unlike any other flightsim IL2 has no editing tools, but it has a very helpfull staff.
Here are some of my planes so far.
I had to stop texturing because of importproblems on the other side ( they use MAX) and MAX can't read 3DS with UVmaps on (????)
I got some help from CADster ( thx mate! ) and now I am waiting untill they email me back

And all planes, expect the A20's ( 7 versions in the works )have LOD models.
All models are beneath the 2500 polys limit.

Your stuff looks great! Can you post some hard edged or wireframe images so we can check out how you spent your poly budget? Awesome work.

Hi,
some comments for the Macchi.
The wingroot does not look right, also you use the 202 oil cooler instead of the 2 cylindrical coolers the 205 got (because of different engine)
Also exhaust does not look right.
Gear cover should have more seperate parts. You have a small cover which overlaps the main coverage.

If you need drawings and tech details mail me. I made the Macchi 202 and 205 for Warbirds3 and got a lot of info from italian friends.

A20 looks nice. When i remember right it would be better you dont let the engine cells intersect the wing. Try to connect them properly and it will be fine.

Made in which program and how many polygons?
If you want you also could get it into the IL2 sturmovik engine.
Really nice looking bird :)
Reference material is always welcome :)
There doesn't exist anything like to much material ;)

Very impressive stuff you got there :)
But apperently websitebuilding isn't your strongest point ;)
With all links working and thumbnails you would have a very nice site.

Want to change it since months with a friend together but being to busy all the time.
Polylimit for IL2 still 2500?

I know that timeproblem too :)
Trying to come up with some decent design for my webpage, but out of inspiration and time at the moment.

IL2 still had the 2500 poly limit.
But you can make invisible parts too, like an internal skeleton (only visible when there are holes in the plane), and pieces that get shot of.
I played WB3.... Lets say that IL2 looks alot better :)

I really hope you consider to model for IL2, your planes are great and they deserve the best engine to display them.
