View Full Version : How would u texture this crazy jelly fish?
probegt978 07-02-2006, 10:12 PM Sup all. I am trying to make this jelly fish with maya and MR. I've tryed glass but can't quite get the look. Any suggestions?

The environment which is being reflected / refracted is key to achieving this kind of look. What sort of elements do you have in your scene? show a pic and we can see what may be missing.

Man that is a crazy jelly fish ..... did you model it? or are you trying to make some shaders that can give that look for your model

So i modeled it in mind that i have to animate it. I made the body a soft body and added tubulence to it to deform it. The tenticals r hair, not sure if that is the best way to go but as far as animating they r they eazyest. I have a few background images that i could use for refraction and reflec but i dont know how to make the hair glass. Here is a screen shot of maya with the model, and a pic that i think i might use for the refraction and reflec.

some SSS could help you get a better result
